Step 2 - Checking device settings
In this step, some device settings are automatically checked to ensure proper
functioning of the device.
- Settings to be checked: HD TV Settings/Antenna signal/Smartcard/New software.

HDTV Settings
TV setup was carried out as the first step. Therefore, this will be checked as
soon as the screen is initially displayed.

Antenna Signal
The device finds a sufficiently strong and valid antenna signal automatically.
- If the device does not find a valid signal an error message will be displayed, asking
you to re-try the signal check or check the cable layout.

Smartcard
The device checks whether a valid Smartcard is inserted.
- If an error is detected , the appropriate Smartcard error message will be displayed.
- Insert the Smartcard with the chip facing down or press the Zurück ( ) button
to use the device without a Smartcard. When using the STB without the Smartcard,
you will be able to view uncoded channels only.
