IRT-Mikrofonkreuze CB 250, -200
Das IRT-Mikrofonkreuz ist eine Mikrofon an ord-
nung für Atmo-Aufnahmen. Kennzeichnend
ist eine transparente und räumliche Darstel lung
der akustischen Umgebung. Daher wird es in
manchen Situationen auch als Vierkanal-Raum-
mikrofon eingesetzt, z.B. in Verbindung mit
dem OCT-Surroundverfahren.
Mit Einschränkungen in Bezug auf die Abbil -
dungstreue kann es auch als Hauptmikrofon
verwendet werden - z.B. bei 360°-Kinofilmen
oder Wiedergabeanordnungen, bei denen die
Lautsprecher in den Eckpunkten eines Quadrats
stehen.
CB 140
Das CB 140 ist eine abgewandelte Form des
IRT-Kreuzes, bei der an Stelle von Nieren
Super nieren zum Einsatz kommen. Hierbei ist
ein geringer Abstand zwischen den Mikrofo nen
erforderlich – er beträgt nur 140mm. Damit ist
dieses Kreuz deutlich kleiner als das CB 200
oder das CB 250.

CB 250, -200
The IRT microphone cross is an arrangement
for ambient recording. Its primary characteris-
tic is a transparent and spacious rendering of
the acoustic environment. It is useful as a
four-channel arrangement for room tone (for
example in combination with the OCT surround
system) and can also be used for full surround
(e.g. 360° cinema sound recording or for other
playback arrangements in which the speakers
are placed in the four corners of a square).
CB 140
The CB 140 is a modified form of the IRT Cross.
Instead of cardioids (as with the CB 200 and
CB 250) supercardioids are used. This requires
a smaller distance between the microphones
– only 140 mm. Hence this cross is distinctly
smaller than the crosses for cardioid micro-
phones.
