Using the base:
During a call:

Press / to select volume 1-8. The current setting is shown.
>When you end the call, the setting will remain at the last selected
level.
7.6 Mute a call
You can talk to someone nearby without letting the caller hear you
during a call.
Using the handset:
During a call:
t
Press
(Right soft key) to mute the microphone and “MUTED” will
display on the LCD. Your caller cannot hear you.
t
Press (Right soft key) again to unmute the microphone
Using the base:
During a call:
t
Press
to mute the microphone and “MUTED” will display on
the LCD. Your caller cannot hear you.
t
Press again to unmute the microphone
7.7 Turn off the handset ringer
t
In idle mode, press and hold # to turn off the handset ringer. The
icon will be displayed on the screen.
Note:
The display will still flash the
icon and show “CALL” or the Caller
Display number, when there is an incoming call, even if the ringer is
turned off.
t
In silent mode, press and hold # to turn on the handset ringer. The
icon will disappear.
7.8 Turn on the keypad lock
You can lock the keypad so that it cannot be used accidentally while
carrying it around.
t
In idle, press and hold * to turn on the keypad lock. The
icon
will turn on, and “KEYS LOCKED“ will appear for about 2 seconds,
followed by “HOLD *“ for about 30 seconds, before returning to the
idle screen.
