3.3 Interface description
Ethernet Interface
By connecting the P 64 audio matrix via the Ethernet interface, the
communication between the P 64 and one or several PC is possible. This allows
the configuration of P 64 via IRIS-Net software. Furthermore, the whole
connected system (consisting of P 64s and DYNACORD Remote Control
Amplifiers) can be operated and monitored. By using appropriate network
hardware it is even possible to operate the P 64 via a wireless network (WLAN). The Ethernet
interface on the rear of P 64 is a RJ-45 connector (8P8C). Both 10Base-T and 100Base-TX
Ethernet standards are supported. The connections of the Ethernet interfaces can be seen in the
following figure and table.
The pin assignment of the Ethernet connector is shown in the following figure. The connector is
viewed from the contact side.
