Answering Machine
Record time Use the up/down key to set the maximum
length of the recording time for incoming mes-
sages (30 s, 60 s, 120 s, 180 s).
Call screen Switch the screening of incoming messages
via the base station loudspeaker On or Off.
This feature allows you to listen to the caller
whilst they are recording their message. Then
if you want to intercept the call lift the handset
and press the Off Hook button. If you do not
wish to be disturbed by calls then set this fea-
ture to Off.
Alert tone When the alert tone is set to on you will hear
every 10 seconds a short beep from the base
when new messages are available.
Setting Remote access
Press the Menu/OK key.
/ Select Answer Machine and press
Menu/OK.
/ Select Remote Access and press
Menu/OK.
/ Select one of the following options and con-
firm with Menu/OK:
Enable Switch remote access On
Set PIN Enter the remote access PIN (default 0 0 0 0).
This PIN is needed for remote accessing the
answering machine from a tone-dialling
(DTMF) telephone.
Disable Switch remote access Off.
