Turning on/lighting

Danger of Explosion!

First read the following instructions on turning on/
lighting the grill and all warning and safety notes be-

fore you light the grill.

– Check the grill for cracks, puncturing or other damage before

you use it.

– Stop using the grill if the gas hose is damaged or porous.

– Open the lid of the grill before lighting the burner. Otherwise

this may result in explosive ignition that may result in several
physical injury or death.

Ignition system – Igniting with a Piezo lighter

1. Open the lid.

2. Open the gas container valve (30) of the gas container.

Do not bend over the grilling area.

3. Push the left temperature control on the grill, hold it down

and in the process, turn it towards the large flame

.

4. Push the Piezo lighter several times. You will hear a click in

the process.

5. Once the left burner is lit, also turn the right temperature

control towards the large flame

.

The right burner will light automatically.

Important! If the burner does not light, push the temperature con-

trol and turn it all the way to (Off) while also turning
the container valve of the gas container to the closed
position. Wait three minutes. You can then either
repeat the process or light the burner using conven-
tional means (see section “Conventional lighting with
matches”).

Conventional lighting with matches

Danger Burn Hazard!

When using matches, always light the grill from the
side, never from above.

1. Open the lid.

2. Open the gas container valve. Do not lean over the grilling

surface.

3. Push and hold the temperature control on the grill while turn-

ing it to the position with the large flame

.

4. Insert a lit, commercially-available fireplace match (extra

long) into the pan through the ignition hole so that it is next
to the burner.

5. Repeat the process with the second burner.

Preheating/regulating the flame

• Heat up the grill for 10 to 15 minutes at the highest setting

before you grill. Keep the lid closed during the process.

• By turning the temperature control towards the small flame,

you can reduce the power and the heat respectively.

Tips for saving energy:
• Do not keep the lid open for too long.
• Turn off the grill as soon as you are done grilling.
• Only heat up the grill for 10 to 15 minutes.
• Do not heat the grill longer than recommended.
• Do not set the burner higher than necessary.

Turning the grill off

• First turn the gas container valve to the closed position in

order to burn off any leftover gas. Then turn the temperature
control towards the large flame into the position (Off).

• After use, disconnect the gas container from the grill out-

doors only!

Maintenance and cleaning

Your grill is made of high-quality materials. Please observe the
following notes in order to clean and maintain the surfaces:

Danger Burn Hazard!

Allow the grill to cool off completely before cleaning it.

Danger Health hazard!

Do not use any dye solvents or thinners to remove
stains. They are hazardous to health and must not

come in contact with food.

Attention Risk of damage!

Do not use any strong or abrasive solvents or scour-
ing pads as they may attack and scratch the surfaces.

• Clean the grill regularly, ideally after every use.
• After grilling, turn the grill on for 10 to 15 minutes. This will

burn any leftover fat off the grill rack. Then let the grill cool
off completely.

• Remove any loose deposits with a wet sponge.
• Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do not scratch the surface

by rubbing it in a dry state.

• Make sure that the burner vents and nozzles are not dam-

aged when you clean them.

• In general, you should clean the grates, inner and outer sur-

faces with warm soap water.

• Check regularly to make sure the burner is free of insects,

which could plug the gas system, thereby impairing the sup-
ply of gas. Also check all other areas in this respect. It is pos-
sible that e.g. spiders may inhabit the tubes.

• Clean the tubes carefully with a flexible brush.
• Regularly tighten all screws before using the grill to ensure

that the grill has a stable position.
