Assembly

Preparation

Danger Risk of injury!

Failure to observe the instructions may result in prob-
lems and risks when using the lavastone gas grill.

– Always follow all assembly instructions provided.

1. First completely read through the assembly instructions.

2. If necessary, have another person assist you.

3. Take enough time for the assembly and clear a work area of

two to three square meters.

4. Lay out any required tools so that they are within reach.

Small parts such as handles may come preassembled.

Required tools

1 x pliers
1 x cross-slotted screwdriver
1 x size 10, size 14 and size 17 wrench
1 x hammer (preferably a rubber mallet)

Assembling the grill

1. Insert the two plastic feet (2) from the accessories bag in the

bottom end of two support legs (1) (see Fig. 1).

2. Screw tighten the two support legs, which you have pre-

pared as described above, onto the right side of the base
plate (3). Screw tighten the two remaining support legs (1)
onto the left side of the base plate (3). Use two screws, lock
washers and nuts from the screw bag

A

for each side (see

Fig. 2).
Attention: The closed side of the base plate is pointing up.

3. Insert the axle (4) on the left side of the base plate through

the legs and the base plate.
Push one wheel (5) onto each side of the axle.
Screw both wheels in place using the size 14 socket wrench
or wrench and the self-locking nuts from the screw bag

D

.

In the process, hold the axle in place with pliers.
Attach the wheel caps (6) and fix them with the screws out
of the screw bag

F

(see Fig. 3).

4. Insert the 4 end caps (7) in the open profile ends of the sup-

port legs. If necessary, use a rubber mallet for this (see Fig.
4).

5. Mount three wood support boards (8) on each of the level,

horizontal sides of the support legs. For this, use the 25 mm
long screws from the screw bag

B

(see Fig. 5).

The wood support boards are made of farmed wood with
high natural resistance against the influence of weather.
Furthermore, they have been stained. However, as this is a
natural product, there may be slight variations in colour in
their final state.

6. Screw tighten the two supports (9) onto the support legs us-

ing 8 screws 6x35 mm, lock washers and nuts. You can find
the assembly materials in the screw bag

A

(see Fig. 6).

7. Insert the fitting (11) through the two larger holes on the

front panel (10) from the back. Make sure that the round pin
of the fitting is properly positioned in the hole between the
two temperature controls (see Fig. 7).

Screw tighten the fitting onto the front panel with the cross-
head screw 6x12 mm from the screw bag

D

.

Insert the Piezo lighter (12) into the hole to the right of the
fitting and screw it to the front panel from behind with the
large speed nut (see Fig. 7).

8. Push the two temperature controls (13) onto the fitting pins

in the front panel (see Fig. 8).

9. Screw tighten the front panel to the supports using 2 tapping

screws 4x12 mm from the screw bag

D

(see Fig. 9).

10. Mount the grill pan (15) on the supports. For this, use 4

spacer sleeves (14) and 4 screws 5x20 mm, lock washers
and nuts from the screw bag

D

(see Fig. 10).

11. Screw the two lid hinges (17) onto the back side of the grill

pan with the screws, lock washers and nuts from the screw
bag

E

(see Fig. 11).

Place the lid (16) on the grill pan and screw the other side
of the lid hinges into the holes on the back side of the lid.
Also use the screws, lock washers and nuts from the screw
bag

E

for this (see Fig. 11).

12. Insert the screw from the screw bag

C

into the lid han-

dle (18), then through the heat-resistant washer (19) and
through the hole in the lid.
Tighten the screw in place using a lock washer and nut
from the screw bag

C

(see Fig. 12).

13. Push the four window holders (21) onto the corners of the

viewing window (20).
The clamps of the window holders must be located on the
bottom side of the viewing window.

Place the entire viewing window on the recess in the
opened lid and carefully bend out the clamps of the window
holders in the corners of the holders (see Fig. 13).

Attention

Never use the grill if the pane is damaged or not in
place.

– When assembling the grill, make sure that the window is

properly and securely seated. If this is not the case, do not in
any case continue to work, instead repeat the above step and
correct the seating of the window.

14. Run the fat container holder (22) through the rear, interme-

diate hole of the grill pan (see Fig. 14).

15. Remove the 4 tapping screws from the feet of the burner

(23). In the process, hold the burner feet in place using pli-
ers to prevent them from bending or being torn off.
Then insert the burner (23), with the pipes down, from
above through the opening in the pan (see Fig. 15).
Attention:
The nozzles on the fitting must extend into the
pipe ends of the burner.
The pipe ends are open above the nozzles. This gap is
desired!

16. Screw the 4 feet of the burner to the grill pan using the previ-

ously removed tapping screws (see Fig. 16).

Insert the cable of the lighter box down through the pan, us-
ing the shortest route, and to the front. Attach the cable to
the Piezo lighter (12) from the back.
