Function
The solar cell 2 converts energy from sunlight into electricity. It charges the recharge-
able batteries inside the battery compartment 3 through the connected power cable.
The batteries store electricity supplied by the solar cell. Fully charged batteries provide
power for about 8 hours of light. In summer, completely drained batteries take about
2 to 4 days to fully recharge in good sunlight. The batteries must be charged prior to
initial use (see „Charging the rechargeable batteries“).
Start-up
Mounting the light
The product is preassembled and ready for use at the time of delivery. Using the
ground spike
4 the product can also be placed in flower beds, lower boxes or near
pathways as accent lighting. Turn the joint screw 5 counter-clockwise to adjust the
angle of the lamp head 1 as well as the angle of the solar cell unit 2 . Tighten the
joint screw after adjusting the angle.
Remove the solar cell unit by loosening the 4 screws on the underside of the
battery compartment 3 . The battery compartment is located inside the solar
cell unit.
Carefully open the solar cell unit and remove the insulating strip 10 located
between the rechargeable battery and the battery pole.
