Installation Manual - Solar-Log™ RS485 Wireless Package
25 Diagnostic Function
There is a special Diagnostic Configuration to test the wireless range
and to determine the ideal mounting location for the modules/antennas. Connect one of the modules with
the Solar-Log™ radio cable to
the desired RS485 output on the Solar-Log™ to use the diagnostic function.
Note
!
The RS485 interface that is to be tested
has to be configured in the Solar-Log™'s WEB menu under Configuration | Devices
| Definition. That means the inverter manufacturer also has to be selected to acti-
vate the Wireless Package.
After that, it is automatically ready for operation.
The second module has to be placed in the Diagnostic Configuration mode:
1.
Plug in the red diagnostic connector.
2. Set the DIP switches to diagnostics.
