Symptom Possible cause Remedies
The plasma monitor
does not react to
commands from the
remote control. • There is an obstacle between
the remote control and the
plasma monitor.
• Sunlight is shining directly on
the infrared sensor in the plas-
ma monitor.
• The batteries in the remote
control are flat.
• The plasma monitor is not swit-
ched on with the main switch.
• Fault in the internal processor.
• The LVDS cable between the
plasma monitor and the tuner
box is not connected correctly.
• Remove the obstacle.
• Ensure that the sun does
not shine on the set.
• Install new batteries.
• Switch on the plasma
monitor set with the
main switch.
• Switch the plasma moni-
tor set off with the main
switch, wait a few
seconds and then switch
it on again.
• Check the connection.
