and automatic. In automatic mode, the
input detection recognises an
incoming signal on the LFE or line input
and switches the Active subwoofer on
automatically. If no input signal is
detected after a timeout of about 25
minutes, the Active subwoofer
switches over to standby mode again
automatically, whereby consumption in
standby mode is < 0.5 W.
Note:
The automatic switch-on function is
level-dependent, i.e. with very small
signal levels, it is possible that the
Active subwoofer does not switch
itself on or turns itself off too early. If
necessary, increase the input signal
while at the same time lowering the
volume.
Power input socket (AC~)
Only use the supplied cable. Before
connecting the power supply, make
sure it corresponds to the voltage
range of the Active subwofer and that
the mains voltage selector switch is
correctly set.
Fuse holder with micro-fuse
Primary power fuse of the Active 03
Fuse:
Mains voltage:
a. T2AL / 250V
110 - 120 VAC
b. T1AL / 250V
220 - 240 VAC
Primary power fuse of the Active 04
a. T4AL / 250V
110 - 120 VAC
b. T2AL / 250V
220 - 240 VAC
When swapping the fuse, always
unplug the unit from the mains and
take note of the specifications on the
unit label. Refer also to the
Safety
measures
chapter under the
Fuse
section on Page 19.
Power switch: On/Off
The unit can be separated completely
from the power supply with the power
switch. There is no power consumption
when the switch is in the Off position.
Please note
If the power cable is connected, certain
internal switching areas are live, even if
the switch is in the Off position.
Overvoltage / Lightning strike
Setting the switch to the Off position
does not offer any protection against
damage that can result from
overvoltage or lightning strikes. Unplug
the unit from the mains in the case of
storms.
Selector switch: Mains voltage
The Active subwoofers are designed to
operate under two voltage ranges that
can be selected through the fused
sliding switch.
a. 110 - 120 VAC [~] / 60 Hz
b. 220 - 240 VAC [~] / 50 Hz
Please note
The unit must be unplugged from the
mains power before changing the
voltage range through the mains
selector switch. Additionally, the unit
fuse
must be modified to
accommodate the new voltage range.
