1. Using the method described in Section 3.2, select
percussion set PO. (If you start changing the assignments
while any other percussion set is selected, the DD-8 will
automatically switch to set PO for you.)

2. Press and hold one of the PAD ASSIGN buttons ®
corresponding to the direction in which you want to move
through the instrument list. If you can get to an instrument
you want assign to a pad most quickly by moving
backward from the current instrument, for example, press
and hold the PAD ASSIGN ◄ button.
