Environment Canada rief das Environmental Choice-Programm 1988 ins Leben, um
Verbrauchern die Identifikation von umweltschonenden Produkten und Dienstleistun-
gen zu erleichtern. Kopierer, Drucker, digitale Druck- und Faxgeräte müssen bestimm-
ten Energieeffizienz- und Emissionskriterien entsprechen und wiederverwertbare
Verbrauchsmaterialien nutzen können. Zum aktuellen Zeitpunkt wurden durch
Environmental Choice mehr als 1600 Produkte zertifiziert/ausgezeichnet, und es gibt
140 Lizenznehmer. Xerox nimmt eine Führungsposition in Hinblick auf Produkte, die
mit dem EcoLogo versehen sind, ein.
Europa - Energie
Die Xerox Corporation hat dieses Produkt entwickelt und getestet, damit es die
durch die GEA (Group for Efficient Appliances) eingerichteten Energierichtlinien erfüllt.
Die zuständigen Registrierungsbehörden sind bereits informiert.
