Programming on the video recorder
You can enter the data for a timed recording directly into the video
recorder. It is possible to use either the buttons on the video recorder
or the buttons on the remote control.
If while programming on the video recorder the TV set is on, the
summary of all TIMER-blocks is displayed.
All programming steps can be followed on the screen.
Next, you must enter step by step all of the data necessary for the
timed recording. You may use the digit buttons 0-9 or the
button + or — .

. You must now select a TlMER-block.
The video recorder display will show, e.g.;

The Indication 'tT shows the next free TlMER-block, in this case
TlMER-block number‘T.
• Ifyou wish to store the data in another TIMER-block,e.g. TlMER-
block ‘4’, enter the corresponding number.
• If you wish to select another recording speed , press
button BHBHl .
O Press button 9.
The video recorder display will show, e.g.:

Now enter the starting time of the recording.
A tip:
If you press button X ,the starting time will automatically be set to
20 : 00 .
Some important notes on VPS:
If the display shows the indication ‘VPS’, this means that the VPS
control has been switched on for this block.
Note the additional ‘VPS time’ indicated in your TV magazine for
every TV programme, if in addition to the starting time of a program­
me aiso a VPS-time which differs from the advertised start-time, is
indicated, e.g. ‘20.15 (VPS 20.14)’, you must enter the VPS-time
while programming the starting time.
A VPS controlled recording oniy works if you have entered the
advertised VPS time to the exact minute.
If you do not want to enter the ‘VPS-Time’, you must switch the VPS
control off. Otherwise the timed recording programmed in this way
will not be carried out.
By pressing button feL=aa«iH you can switch the VPS controi on
or off.
O Press button 9 again.
The video recorder dispiay will show, e.g..

Now enter the ending time of the recording.
A tip:
If you press button X, then the starting time is automaticaliy
transferred as ending time and displayed as such.

If the display shows another indication, e.g. ‘DAILY’ or ‘WKLY’,
press button one or more times until the display shows
‘DATE’. Now enter the date of the recording.
Please note:
• It is possible to programme a recording 31 days {1 month) in
advance.
• if, for example, today is the 16th of March and you programme
the date as ‘14’, the recording wili be made on the 14th of April.
•
For a TV programme starting atmidnight, i.e.at 00:00, enter the
date of the following day as the recording date .
O Press button 9 .
The video recorder display will show, e.g.:

Now enter the programme number of the TV channel from which you
wish to record.
• If necessary press button one or more times to
select a special recording mode.
O Press button 9 once more to complete the programming.
