WARNING! Work that is not carried out correctly can cause serious injury and
damage. The actions described below may ONLY be carried out by skilled,
trained technicians! Read and follow the section headed “Safety rules” in this
operating-instruction manual.
Safety
Changing a fuse
1.
Disconnect AC supply lines and inverter using the AC-disconnect for the inverter
2.
Open the viewing panel
3.
Switch the DC isolator into the “OFF” position (i.e. open the DC isolator)
4.
Interrupt the solar module strings to the DC isolating box 40/60
5.
Put up a clearly legible and easy-to-understand warning sign to stop anybody
switching back on again, or joining back together any opened or otherwise
interrupted electrical connections
6.
Detach the cover and viewing panel
WARNING! Danger from solar-module voltage! Before starting work on the DC
isolating box 40/60, make sure that all strings of solar modules are electrically
dead.
Exchanging the fuses
Preparations
1.
Check that the solar-module strings are safely isolated from the supply
2.
Shunt out the strings of solar modules
3.
Check the fuse holder (on the terminals) for electrical continuity
NOTE! For protecting the DC isolating box 40/60 against short circuits, use only
fuses that comply with the “Criteria for selecting the right fuses” above.
Fuse dimensions:
∅ 10.3 x 35 - 38 mm
4.
Changing the defective fuse(s):
- Open the fuse holder
- Change the fuse
- Close the fuse holder
5.
Find out - and remedy - the cause of the defective fuse
6.
Stop short-circuiting the solar modules
1.
Mount the cover and viewing panel
2.
Close the solar module strings to the DC isolating box 40/60
3.
Switch the DC isolator into the “ON” position (i.e. close the DC isolator)
4.
Close the viewing panel
5.
Connect AC supply lines and inverter using the AC-disconnect for the inverter
