The sensor retainer HWS-EGC-…1 is intended as support for the proximity
switch (B) with M8 thread. The sensor retainer 1 is fastened in the groove of
the axis with slot nuts.

2. Assembly

• Tip the slot nuts 4 from the
front into the groove in the
axis.

• Fasten the sensor retainer 1
in the desired position on the
axis with washers 2 and
screws 3.
• Maintain the permitted
tightening torque
(
!Table 4).

• Position the proximity switch
(B) in the desired position.
• Fasten the proximity switch
(B) on the sensor retainer 1
with the lock nut (C).
3. Adjustment
Note
If set correctly there remains a gap of S = 0.1 … 1.5 mm between the
proximity switch (B) and the switching cam (D).
• Avoid external influence in the vicinity of the proximity switches caused
by magnetic or ferritic parts other than the switching cam (D).

• Set the proximity switch (B)
via its thread.
• Push the slide (A) with the
switching cam (D) slowly
over the fastened proximity
switch (B).
• Check that the proximity
switch (B) switches correctly.
