Only with the GF variant is it necessary for the surface (I) to be exactly even; otherwise, the
guide rods might jam.
2)
Use of centring sleeves is not possible for DFM 20…40-B and mounting variant d).
3)
In the case of DFM-…-B-…-EJ, the mounting variant d) is possible only under certain circum-
stances or to a limited extent, since the fastening holes are largely covered.
4)
You can find other required dimensions of the guide unit in the catalogue
! www.festo/catalogue.
Information
Fitting the guide unit 1 - 3:
• Use screws 5 with a screw-in length as close as possible to 1.5 x d
4)
.
• But fasten your guide unit with at least 2 screws 5, depending on the
load, size and stroke length.

Note
Mounting the variant d):
With protruding guide rods in the retracted state:
• Ensure there is clear passage of the guide and stop rods, e.g. through
grooves in the mounting surface (H).
3. Mounting the proximity sensors
Information

f)
Turn the proximity sensor 6
180°.
g)
Select another permissible
proximity sensor from our
catalogue
www.festo.com/catalogue.
• Note that every sensor groove is covered with a groove cover ABP 7 and
