Cleaning cloth is saturated with cleaning agent. If required: Use a mixture of isopropa-
nol:water (1:1) or heptane as a cleaning agent.

5. Cleaning the bonding surface

Clean the bonding surface (D)
with the cleaning cloth 3 so
it is free from residues. Wipe
only in one direction.
6. Preassembly

Place the proximity switch in
the mounting 1.
Maintain space (2 mm) for ad-
justment.
Fasten the proximity sensor
correctly (
other applicable
documents).

Round cylinder:
Attach guide rail 2 in the
sensing range.
Align mounting 1 along the
guide rail 2 and determine
the position of the switching
point.

Electric cylinder:
Align mounting 1 centred
on the axis and determine
the position of the switching
point.

Place mounting 1. Check:
Sealing lip is at least 2 mm
from an edge.
Mark position with a pencil.
7. Assembly
Remove proximity sensor.

Remove protective foil (E)
from the adhesive tape. Do
not touch the adhesive tape.

Position mounting 1 at the
marking.
Press mounting 1 for 5 s
with 70 N (strong press with
the thumb) on the cylinder
surface.
Let glue harden:
–
1 h at +60 °C or
–
24 h at +20 °C

Adjust the proximity sensor
