Function:
End position sensing using proximity sensors Type Typ: SMx-10-… , which can
be fitted and positioned on the gripper by means of the sensor adapter.
Fitting instructions for the attachment of the sensor adapter
• Fitting preparations
Black-marked surfaces(1) to be glued must be cleaned prior to glueing (for example: Loctite Cleaner
7083) to ensure that the surfaces are dry and free of dust, oil and grease.
• Fitting of sensor adapter
1. Apply a thin layer of the enclosed Cyanacrylat adhesive (Loctite 401) to the black-marked
attachment surface (2).
2. Insert the sensor adapter up to the stop into the slot, making sure that it does not project from
the housing.
3. Securely press on the sensor adapter approx. 5sec. with 20N on the contact surface (room
temperature and a relative air huminity of 40-60% are the ideal conditions for the Cyanacrylat
adhesive to harden). Make sure that the entire contact surface of the sensor adapter is applied
to the gripper slot.
