EDIT mode
The following settings can be conducted in the EDIT mode:
–
Switching function (threshold value or window comparator)
–
Switching points [SP] or [SP] [min] and [SP] [max]
–
Hysteresis [HY]
–
Switching element function [NO/NC] (N/O contact / N/C contact)
–
Filter option [ON/OFF] (smoothing of measured values)
–
Security code (Lock)
Note
Always use “threshold value comparator” for the switching function and always use
“N/O contact” for the switching element function.
6.3.1
Starting EDIT mode
Warning
Depending on the functions of the machine/system, the manipulation of signal states
can cause serious injury to human beings and damage to property.
•
Note that if the switching behaviour of the switching outputs is modified in the
EDIT mode, the new status will be effective immediately.
Note
The EDIT button is often used during commissioning to select and confirm values. In
order to avoid damaging the EDIT button please press it using a blunt object.
Various settings can be selected with the operating buttons.

The output (Out A, Out B) for which the behaviour is to be set
–
Special menu
1. Press the Edit button.
The EDIT mode is active and [Out A] flashes or [Lock] flashes when the security lock is active.
2. Press the UP/DOWN buttons (A-/B buttons), until the selected security code is set.
3. Press the Edit button.
The EDIT mode is active and [Out A] flashes.
