7-2 Dual Rate and Exponential
Dual Rate and Exponential functions are available for
Aileron, Elevator and Rudder. You can assign these
functions to different switches.
Dual Rate
Affects the overall travel which in turn affects control
response sensitivity equally throughout the range of that
channel. Reducing the dual rate reduces the maximum
control rate as well as overall sensitivity.
Exponential
Affects the sensitivity around center but has no affect on
the overall travel. Positive Exponential reduces control
sensitivity around neutral for more precise control but
does not affect the maximum control response.
Note:
Positive and negative exponential values are
available. A positive expo value reduces control
sensitivity around center. It does not affect maximum
travel and is recommended. Negative exponential values
increase sensitivity around neutral and is seldom used.
In the display, you can choose the following param-
eters with the Roller:
• Channels: Aileron, Elevator and Rudder
• Curve: If the function is not assigned to a switch, only
one curve is available. Dual Rate is not changeable
with the Switch in the Off Position. Exponential is not
changeable if the Switch is Off.
These parameters are adjustable: Channel, Dual Rate,
Exponential
You can assign 3 different Curve, Expo and Dual Rate
values to a three-position switch and activate them
via flying. You can choose any switch you wish to
program. The switches keep their programmed values
until you change them. If you assign stick tip switches,
programmed values change only when the switch is
pushed.
7-1-5 Absolute Travel
Sets the maximum travel for and channel in any direction
regardless of any other functions. Each direction can
be set individually. Mixing aileron to throttle causes and
issue with overdriving the throttle at full throttle when the
mix adds in thus creating a bind. Abs. Travel can be set
so the servo will stop at exactly full throttle regardless of
other settings.
7-1-6 Balance
Balance All Model Types- Available on all channels
allows the fine tuning of the servo position at up to 7
points. This is a precision curve mix that is normally used
to sync multiple servos (dual servo wing) so the servos
don’t bind in all positions.
7-3 Throttle Cut
The Throttle Cut function allows you to shut an engine
off with all assigned switches and tip switches on sticks
except: Pot1, Pot2, Pot3 and Pot 4. In the Throttle
menu, you can program the Gas Position, assign it to
a switch and set a delay up to 5 seconds. Release the
programmed throttle cut switch, and normal throttle
operations resume.
