9-10 Mixer
The DX 10t offers 8 mixes for helicopter. You can program
a mix Cyclic > Throttle that is active at Aileron, Elevator
and Rudder. This mix avoids RPM decay with rudder
movement.
The Swashplate mix mixes Aileron to Elevator and
Elevator to Aileron for a better timing of the Swashplate.
There are 6 programmable mixes available. You can
activate mixes with Flight Modes and the Gear switch.
The programmable Mixes have an Offset function where
mixer interceptions can be selected as slave trimming
from Master to Slave Channel.
Programming the Mixer
Press the roller from the Main or Telemetry display to
access the Function List.
Cyclic to Throttle Mix prevents rpm decay when aileron,
elevator and/or rudder inputs are given.
At full throttle, programming prevents the throttle from
overdriving the servo.
When using a Governor, Cyclic to Throttle mix is not
recommended.
Assigning Cyclic Mix to a Flight Mode(s)
Rotate the Roller to highlight the desired box at the
bottom of the screen. Press the Roller to darken the box
and activate Cyclic Mix in that Flight Mode position. You
can highlight more than one Flight Mode position. If all
boxes are highlighted, the
C-Mix function is always on. If no boxes are highlighted,
the function is always off.
Adjusting Cyclic Mix Rates
Rotate the Roller to highlight the desired rate then press.
Rotate the Roller to adjust
the value. The available positive + and negative - values
reverse the direction of the throttle mix.
Adjust the rates for all desired channels.
9-11 Range Test
The Range Test is a safety feature. Perform a range
check at the beginning of each flying session to confirm
system operation. This function reduces the RF Output in
order to confirm the RF Link is working correctly.
In the Functions menu, select Range Test. The display
shows FULL POWER. Push the Roller and the display
shows REDUCED POWER.
With your model restrained on the ground, stand 28
meters (about 90 feet) from the model. You should have
full control of the model with the transmitter in Range Test
Mode.
If control issues occur, contact the appropriate Horizon
Product Support office for assistance.
9-12 Timer
The system has two timers that can be set individually.
Parameters for timers are:
• Mode: Stopwatch/Countdown
• Time Period
• Starting Point
You can assign the timer to any switch. Warnings are
Sound and/or Vibration.
If both timers are selected, both timers will be visible on
the display.
9-13 Telemetry
The transmitter offers different Telemetry functions. This
means the transmitter sends signals to the model and
receives signals via a telemetry module and sensors
mounted within the model. For this function, you need a
telemetry module and sensors that are sold separately.
With telemetry, you check the following values:
• RPM
• Voltage Flight Battery
• Temperature
• Altitude
• Airspeed
• Receiver Battery voltage
• Flight Log Data
• 8G G-Force
• 40G G-Force
• Variometer
• GPS
• LiPo Battery Capacity
• High Current 150A Sensor
• JetCat Turbine Sensor
